Using lucrative means, I gained access to a collection of used hotel rooms. A dive into the natural disposability of what people leave behind in what is effectively a disposable home. Similar to any disposable object, a camera, vape, mask, cutlery. All of it is carefree. People pay no attention to maintaining or looking after these objects, and a similar approach is taken by people when using a hotel room. Most rooms were very plain and familiar and in a way relatable, the unmade bed the full bin, the mess of sugar and used tea packets, its all very mundane evidence of human existence in these rooms, occasionally the interesting aspect would show, as you can see above the condoms and cigarette packet both left on the bedside table. its inherently human. but rarely seen by people outside of the hotel industry, this shows you what is behind these closed doors.
