Evidence in photography

Evidence in photography has always been rather drab and purely scientific. when i was reading through a book by Larry Sultan and Mike Mandel I noticed how detectives and photographers would use a white board in order to isolate their key pieces of evidence, if that were a gun or a length of tree branch. they would put a whiteboard behind the object to do that. i decided that if I were to take this approach to photography and look for "evidence" and isolate pieces or draw attention using that method to see what I could find.
